Our client is a leading lending platform company for consumers and businesses. It provides users with home loans, SME loans, and equipment financing services for machinery and equipment.

Challenges

  • Most of the time EDW environment is down due to Infrastructure related failures
  • Performance issues impacted productivity of the employees
  • ROI was poor since overall EDW support costs were higher

Implementation

  • Migrated to Snowflake
  • Load and update data in near real time by replacing legacy DW + Hadoop cluster with Snowflake
  • Build unified framework to monitor the performance of Data loads & Reports
  • Execute comprehensive system updates across upstream and downstream applications.
  • Upgraded Tableau to be compatible with Snowflake

  • Since Snowflake is cloud based EDW, Zero maintenance cost on both hardware and software
  • Implemented Data and Object level Security
